BELIEFS

We believe there is only one God, and that God exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who are equal in power and glory.

"The Lord our God, the Lord is one."  Deuteronomy 6:4

We believe in the Creator, God the Father, an infinite, spiritual Father, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love; that he concerns himself mercifully in the affairs of humanity and all creation; that he hears and answers prayer; and that he has the power to save from sin and death all who come to him through faith in Jesus Christ, who taught us to call upon God as "our Father."

We believe in the Savior, Jesus Christ, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, and thus fully human and fully divine, the son of God; that he lived a sinless life and gave himself as a substitution sacrifice for us and our sins by shedding his blood and dying on a cross; that he was buried; that he was bodily raised from the dead three days later, thereby conquering the powers of death and evil; that he appeared to his disciples; that he ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God our Father, where he makes continual intercession for us; that he will literally come again to establish the fullness of God's kingdom on earth. We believe in his miracles and his teachings.

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."  John 1:1

We believe in the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, who is sent from God the Father and the Son to convict us of sin, righteousness and judgment; to regenerate us with new life; to comfort us; to sanctify and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ; and to sustain us and our faith until Jesus comes again. We believe that the Holy Spirit is a helper, teacher, and guide; that he unites us together through our faith in Jesus; that the Holy Spirit intercedes for us even when we know not how to pray. Likewise, we believe in the personal and orderly public exercise of all the Biblical gifts given by the Holy Spirit to the church.

"And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Counselor to be with you forever--the Spirit of truth."  John 14:16-17
